enjoyment of the sport outside of school hours. The League
commences in September and continues until May. Games are held on a
Saturday mornings at Bedgrove Community Centre, Ambleside,
Aylesbury, where there are three outdoor courts.
AJNL has recently been awarded a Bronze CLUBMARK accreditation
by England Netball to show that it is a well organised and safe
club for young players to join and develop.
The game of High 5 is played by boys and girls in years 5
& 6 in accordance with the EN player development policies.
Although these players are put into teams intended for friendly
matches, the emphasis is on coaching and training sessions to
promote a positive pleasurable and progressive introduction to
netball. Players are invited to represent AJNL at local High 5
tournaments throughout the season.
Players in years 7, 8 & 9 play a mixture of competitive
matches with coaching & training sessions, aimed at improving
individual skills and encouraging player development. All sessions
are run by qualified EN Level 1 & Level 2 coaches. These age
groups are also invited to represent AJNL at local tournaments such
as High Wycombe
At the end of the season the Aylesbury Junior Netball
League holds a tournament for all its members. A presentation
evening/disco is held to celebrate the players/teams achievements
during the season. Trophies are presented to League and Tournament
winners and runners-up together with Players’ Player
awards...
The aim of the Aylesbury Junior Netball League is to: offer
coaching, umpiring, training and competitive opportunities in
netball. To promote the club within the local community and to
ensure a duty of care is given to all its members. To provide all its
services in a way that is fair to everyone. To ensure that all
present and future members receive fair and equal treatment and
