GOALDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2012

This year we are launching the North Bucks Goalden Globe Awards. It is a great opportunity to recognise the hardwork done by our volunteers and thank them for their time and effort. North Bucks Netball Association (NBNA) will choose a County winner for each of the five categories. The winners will be announced at the County AGM.

Eligible winners of the County Awards will be put forward to represent North Bucks at the South Region Goalden Globe Awards (where the winner does not meet the Regional standards, an alternative may be chosen to represent North Bucks).

The five categories at County level are:
Coach Award - County Coach Award[1].doc
Officials Award - County Officials Award[1].doc
Outstanding Netball Club Award - County Outstanding Netball Club Award[1].doc
Volunteer Award - County Volunteer Award[1].doc

Nominations are also sought for the following awards which will be awarded nationally in September at the England Netball Goalden Globe Awards:
England Netball National Long Service Award
England Netball Rose Award
For the England Netball Long Service Award individuals may self-nominate. All nominations must be seconded by a County Association. The England Netball National Long Service Award may be presented to volunteers who have given selfless outstanding service for 25 years or more by way of administration, coaching or umpiring at one or more of the following levels county, regional, national and international.
The England Netball Rose Award may be presented to a volunteer or organisation that has made an exceptional contribution to netball in any capacity within the last 12 months. This may encompass any aspect of the game and its administration.
The closing date for nominations is 30th March 2012. Nomination forms can be submitted email or by post to the following: northbucksna@hotmail.co.uk or Claire Hawkes, 31 Woodford Close, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. HP19 7FS. We hope to reach as many people as possible so that the hard work of our volunteers in North Bucks can be recognised not only within the County, but with some strong nominations at regional and possibly national level as well.

In order to do this I am looking for your support in three ways. The first is that you send the nomination forms on to all the teams in your league and ask them and their players to make nominations. The second is to make nominations yourselves. As a league committee you are in the ideal position to know who our volunteers are and the contribution that they make to netball in our area. The final way to help would be to provide a representative to be on the judging panel. The panel will consist of one member from each league committee and two from the North Bucks committee.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Chairman
