Aylesbury & District Junior Netball League
Aylesbury Junior Netball League provides the opportunity for players from School Year 4 to school Year 9 to continue with their enjoyment of the sport outside of school hours. AJNL is a safe and friendly club with safeguarding procedures and child protection policies in place. The League commences in September and continues until May. Games are held on a Saturday mornings at Bedgrove Community Centre, Ambleside, Aylesbury, where there are three outdoor courts.
The game of High 5 is played by boys and girls in years 4, 5 & 6 in accordance with the EN player development policies. Although these players are put into teams intended for friendly matches, the emphasis is on coaching and training sessions to promote a positive pleasurable and progressive introduction to netball. Players are invited to represent AJNL at local High 5 tournaments throughout the season.
Players in years 7, 8 & 9 play a mixture of competitive matches with coaching & training sessions, aimed at improving individual skills and encouraging player development. All sessions are run by qualified EN Level 1 & Level 2 coaches. These age groups are also invited to represent AJNL at local tournaments such as High Wycombe
At the end of the season the Aylesbury Junior Netball League holds a tournament for all its members. A presentation evening/disco is held to celebrate the players/teams achievements during the season. Trophies are presented to League and Tournament winners and runners-up together with Players’ Player awards...
