Making a Complaint
A formal expression of dissatisfaction with the actions or behaviour of a Member, League Club, Club Official/Volunteer/Supporter or Connected Participant. Alleged unfair practice in connection with the sport.
- In the main, on-court behaviour is dealt with by the officiating umpire during the game.
- For the avoidance of doubt, a person may be sanctioned under the Complaints and Disciplinary Procedure even though the Officiating Umpire has already penalised the Respondent under the England Netball Rules.
- Misconduct occurs when conduct does not reach the required standard expected by the ADNL
- Serious offences (criminal offences, use of violent conduct, threat of violence against another or discriminatory acts or behaviour) will be dealt with in accordance with England Netball Disciplinary Regulations in the first instance - [email protected].
- All other complaints about Misconduct will be dealt with by ADNL in consultation with England Netball’sGovernance and Compliance Manager.
- The aim is to achieve an informal resolution at local League level.
- A Complaint can be made by any ADNL Member.
- A Complainant must set out in writing the grounds for the Complaint using the Raising a Concern form, where they will:
- · Set out the details of the concern.
- · State why the concern is being raised.
- · Express the desired outcome
- This should be stated as ‘Escalate to a Complaint.’
- This must be submitted no more than five working days after the alleged incident. If there are multiple interactions over a series of days, then the time starts from the last interaction.
- It is strongly recommended that as much detail as possible is given with the Complaint, including full details of the rules; procedures; regulations or codes of conduct that you feel have been broken. Along with the details of witnesses, times, dates, and location of the incident.
- The Disciplinary Committee will only address complaints received in accordance with this procedure.
